Mark’s Gospel Reading

Lectionary readings this year are from Mark.  To help us get a feel of Mark’s Gospel we are having a special benefice event on Sunday 29^th January at 3.00 pm in St Stephen’s church.  We will listen to a reading of Mark’s Gospel in it’s entirety.  We will be watching a DVD with a series of readers each reading one or two chapters.  We will be watching them or looking at art inspired by the events being narrated or photos or videos of biblical scenes.  This should prove to be a useful background as we seek to follow Mark’s thoughts, themes and teaching through the year.  Please make every effort to be at St Stephen’s as we seek to learn together.  The reading will take about one and a half hours.  Refreshments will be provided.
