Operation Christmas Child Campaign and Shoebox Packing Party

Posted on:

The Operation Christmas Child (OCC) campaign is well underway at the Benefice churches. Many people have been knitting hats, scarves and gloves throughout the year alongside collecting items from the list below.

Items needed are toothbrushes, toothpastes, soap, flannels, hairbrushes, combs, hairbobbles and slides, bracelets, necklaces, teddies, small cars, pens, pencils, pencil sharpeners, erasers, pencil cases, small notebooks, tennis balls, bouncy balls or other small toys. NO WAR RELATED ITEMS. If you have any items you would like to donate, please bring them along to a service at St Stephen’s or Bilson or contact Rachel or Lynne (see below).

This year the transportation cost of each shoebox is £3.00. Any donations towards this would be much appreciated (as last year we sent over 60 shoeboxes!).

There will be a Shoebox Packing Party on Wed 30 October, 2.30 pm at Bilson Schoolroom.

Please contact Lynne (825997) or Rachel (719438) for more info about what is needed or the work of OCC.
