Christian Aid Week

Christian Aid week is here and collectors are in the Coop County Stores (Dockham Road, Cinderford) alongside house to house collections in Littledean. The raffle at Saturday’s Craft Fayre at St Stephen’s (Sat 18 May, 10 am – 2 pm) will also be raising funds for Christian Aid.

This years Christian Aid Week is looking to improve the standards of healthcare for pregnant, labouring and newly delivered women around the world, but especially in Sierra Leone.

We are blessed to have access to wonderful care through the NHS here in the UK; but sadly that is not the same for women around the world, many of whom have to pay for healthcare, travel many miles or struggle at home to deliver with minimal assistance.

Any contributions will help Christian Aid, and their partners, to help make childbirth a much safer experience for mother and child.
