Sabbatical Diary – Day 11

Fingal’s Cave on Staffa.

Amazing trip to Staffa this morning after Morning Prayer here at the House of Prayer and breakfast with the other guests, two of whom are priests on sabbatical.

Dolphins on way out and back. Seal and puffin sightings.

Had picnic on the beach when I got back, then went for a walk to the South end of the island and back around the West side. All wonderful.

Service in Abbey tonight was a bit odd as it was very much a welcome service for people arriving today and staying for a week. Didn’t really apply to anyone I’ve met. Amazing setting though. Looking forward to services there tomorrow.
