Sabbatical Diary – Day 41

Sign in Land’s End Hotel. Looks like it’s deep and meaningful, but I’m not sure it is.

The photo guy at the sign was setting up as I was finishing breakfast, so I went over to chat to him. He had his signs out:

1 7″ x 5″ photo, beautifully mounted, for £9.95! Or, 1 9″ x 6″ for £12.50. Wow.

Moving on … …

Lots of signs of old tin mines and associated industries along the Cornish coast. Powerful images.

St Ives from Smeaton’s Pier.

Beautiful coastline. Lovely visits to lots of small Cornish seaside towns and views of fabulous beaches. A bit of walking during the day, and a couple of miles earlier this evening to Hartland Point Lighthouse and back from my B&B. Sadly, got caught in something of a rain storm on the way back. Very wet.

But, as I always say ‘there is great meaning in life for those who are willing to journey’.

God bless,

Mike
