Parliamentary Hustings Success

On behalf of Churches Together in Cinderford, St Stephen’s Church were pleased to host a parliamentary hustings on Thursday 16 April 2015. The event was well attended by 178 people representing a good cross section of people from Cinderford and and The Forest of Dean.

All five parliamentary candidates, Chris Coleman, James Greenwood, Mark Harper, Steve Parry-Hearn and Steve Stanbury sat on the panel and responded to questions on a range of local and national issues. The most controversial issues were support for HOOF, fracking and nuclear power.

Churchwarden Chris Witham said, “It was fantastic to have the support of Triangle Radio. They provided microphones and recording equipment along with expertise that helped the evening run smoothly and be heard by all”.
