Sunday 19 May saw the annual Thy Kingdom Come prayer walk take place around Cinderford and Littledean.

Thy Kingdom Come (TKC) is a global ecumenical prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray from Ascension to Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus. The initiative unites more than a million Christians in prayer, in nearly 90% of countries worldwide, across 85 different denominations and traditions.

This year, a group of walkers from around the Benefice set out from St Stephen’s Church in Cinderford. They visited Forest View Primary School, Forest High School, the new Forest of Dean Community Hospital, businesses on the trading estate, Cinderford Medical Centre, The Triangle and the Belle Vue Centre (Town Council Offices). A second group travelled by car; visiting Forest View school, Forest High School, Hearts of the Forest School, Soudley school & village, Littledean school & village, St Whites school and Cinderford Town Council. At each stop, prayers were said for that part of our community and the people who live and work there.

Cinderford Churches are committed to being part of and praying for the communities of Cinderford, Littledean and Soudley.
